Last Saturday had a great evening at the launch of this seminal anthology of women’s poetry published by Second Light Network.  97 poets have contributed from the famous  Moniza Alvi, Mimi Khalvati, Gill McEvoy, Pascal Petit, U.A. Fanthorpe to those published by small presses like myself. The editors Wendy French & Dilys Wood have created an anthology that spans the brillence and range of poetry by  contemporary  women writing today and is the sister to Her Wings of Glass (SLP) 2014 with 186 pages of poems divided into four themes The Planet, The Human Condition, Love Variations, & Enquiring Minds which explore the depths and creatavity of the poets and the span of their experience.

It is dedicated to Anne Cluysenaar (1936-2014) and Elizabeth Burns (1957-2015) who I had the pleasure of knowing

I feel honoured to have a poem included and recommend it as essential reading for anyone exploring great contemporary poetry .
